A trip to the beach

On Friday a club I take part in regularly went to the beach. I use to go to the beach during the day. But ever since coming to college I've only went at night time. This last time I escaped from the group to walk along the beach and observe the feeling. I noticed how much light pollution was in the air from the city being so close but I didn't think that you would be able to literally see a gradient in the sky going from the pitch black of the ocean to the bright light of the city. I guess that's what humans do. They build and build and make things bigger and bigger, never able to be satisfied.

Time in the wind

I haven't gotten to talk a lot about what I have been doing, but I guess I can describe the few times I went outside the labs for once in my long weeks here in Sarasota.

The first outing I had in Sarasota was a few weeks ago with a friend. We were actually suppose to be going on a class field trip to hear about the history of Sarasota, but we didn't exactly get to the event in time. As a matter of fact we got to it just as it was ending. We took our time tasting the tastes and such that were left over because we didn't get much time to eat before we were there. The little place had a vibe to it. It did scream old as your grandfather but the garden out back was well kept, the grass seemed to be well mowed, and the area surrounding the building was kept very clean. The person I was with was way more interested in the place than me, reason being she was looking for a place to hold her wedding reception. She literally would look at anything interesting and weigh the good and bad even if the bad clearly outweighed the good. Anyways it was in a strange spot and I had fun. My next adventure I will leave for tomorrow.
